The Barbados Museum (St. Michael): The museum
has an excellent collection of furniture, glassware, books and other
records. Eight galleries cover natural history, antique maps social
history, arts military history and more.

Gun Hill Signal Station (St. George): Situated
on a cliff with excellent views over the valley of St. George. It was a
signal station key to the distribution of information across the island.
around 1818, also look out for the lion statue carved by an officer at the
signal station in 1868. Tel: 429 1358.
Morgan Lewis Windmill (St. Andrew): The only
windmill with it's arms and wheelhouses intact. Tel: 4227429.
St. Nicholas Abbey: One of the oldest houses in
the Western Hemisphere with a great old home movie show from around 1935,
open for viewing Monday to Friday.
Grenade Hall Forest & Signal Station: Next to
the wildlife reserve the forest has 2km of trails and the signal station
has many artefacts and interesting information.
Sunbury Plantation House (St. Philip): Close to
Six Roads Sunbury is over 300 years old, this historically listed building
has magnificent Victorian style rooms furnished with fine Barbadian
mahogany antiques. Also serves breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea. Tel:

Tyrol Cot: This is the home of Sir Grantley
Adams, Barbados' first Prime Minister. Recently restored it has a museum,
craft village and a rum shop. Tel: 424 2074.
